A new venture for Esteban Canata, the Bio Bio valley is at the southerly extreme of Chilean wine making and thus an exciting new area for the production of white wines. Sr Canata has 300 hectares there where he grows a range of more unusual grape types as well as the more classic varieties. Expect to see some of these in due course. The Cabernet and Pinot come from their own estates whilst the Merlot come from further north in the Central valley which gives it the rich ripeness we have come to expect from Chile. A real find.
